I don't know if I could stomach another meeting, but I would be curious to see how many people are still there, and if we can notice anyone missing.

Showing up without an invitation after 3 years absence, would be suspicious, I think. I'm pretty sure news about us has spread, although they still will speak to me in public (when I approach them). They tend to walk around with blinders on, but I find myself doing the same thing sometimes.

How are you instructed to view former Bible students, who ask questions you can not answer from the publications?

It's "Memorial season" - just like Christmas season, only infinitely more depressing.

JW faders, inactives, etc. can expect lots of calls & visits from "concerned ones", who will promptly become "unconcerned" on the day after the Memorial.

The pressure is mounting for the pioneers and elders to increase their performance numbers. The WTBTS must realize how depressing it must be for those in 'the full-time service' to almost never have 'productive' bible studies, so now a 'new field' is opened to them, where they can get that 'feel good' emotion of helping someone return to the fold. It will make them think they actually are accomplishing something. It is imperative that the WTBTS numbers improve on their yearly stats.

Love the charity work reference! That must really have put her in confusion...'how can they be performing charity work and be happy. You can only be happy if your charity work is preaching...must be a lie that they are happy...where is my Paxil?'

I wish that there were a way to get them to see that it isn't Satan that is making them depressed. It's being a Jehovah's Witness that is depressing them.

They are part of an organization that bullies and forces them to believe every thing that they say even though they never get anything right.

It has been 100 years since 1914. The year they claim Christ returned yet nothing has happened. The generation that wouldn't pass away did. They waste their time going door to door peddling a stale message that almost no one is interested in. They waste their evenings and weekends going boring meetings listening to the same old crap year after year. They are on a pointless religious treadmill and don't seem to know how break free of it yet they try to suck others back into their sad situation. Mind control at its finest.

You stump them when they find you well and happy. They have been told that shouldn't be the case.

Surprised no one thought of this before - just herd all the "weak" ones into a pen. Just like a zoo.

Then Brother & Sister Pompous can take their children over to the holding pen full of weak ones, point to them, and hiss "See? If you don't underline your Watchtower, this is where you will end up!"
