Joe Cole and David James will be carrying the claret and blue flag for England in the World Cup finals, but unlucky Trevor Sinclair has just missed out on the 23-man squad named today.
James is one of three goalkeepers chosen by manager Sven-Goran Eriksson
in the squad for the finals in Japan and Korea, which kicks off on May 31.
And after a fine substitute performance against Paraguay at Liverpool earlier last month, and a run of excellent form for the Hammers, 20-year-old Cole has grabbed one of the late places on the plane for the Far East.
