I've never heard of a postponed meeting either, they were just cancelled. Like mentioned above it's just a waste of time anyway since less than half of the folks show up anyway.

You best go. Otherwise your house will cave in from the snow on the roof, you'll die, and you'll be used from here to armageddon as an example not to miss meetings.

Don't go and tell them you thought it was cancelled.

The die hards would arrive stomping snow off
their boots and slapped one another on wet shoulders
as if to say, we made again! Who else but us would dare!
The worse the weather ...the more they had to prove! ha hah

I'm sure they think everyone wants to go to the hall and hates to miss a meeting. Delusional.

Surely your not thinking of going ... Or are you living with JW family who would look on in horror if you we're to just not go ?

C.O.'s sometimes demand this from elder bodies - that they not cancel meetings but rather re-schedule them.

We always voted to cancel on any night of questionable weather, because the ones who would foolishly get out in it was the older folks that should have been the first to stay home. They are from the old school that thinks you CANNOT miss a meeting.
Plus, if you held a meeting in a Cong of 100 pubs and only 30 made it out due to the bad weather, it destroyed your meeting attendance averages. Better to just tell the CO you had to cancel than try to explain pissy attendance records.
