The question is : Is the Watchtower involved in this or is it some JW's looking to make millions on seniors.

I thought it was just a company owned by bros.

There was a recent thread on this very topic. The company's are not linked to the Watchtower Society but I understand that at least one of the companys is run by a wealthy JW entrepreneur. Perhaps some kind person can show the link to the thread,

My question is
If this retirement home is built in the U.S. and not legally connected to the WTS
can it legally discriminate against other prospective tenants based on religion ?
.
.
In the U.S. you can't deny housing based on someones Sex, race, gender, religion, Etc.......

wasblind, your question is a valid one. If a facility is identified as affiliated with a registered (religious) organization, that facility can develop its own entry criteria. That said, I could not imagine anyone else other than a JW beating down the door to want to get in. Evidently one of the criteria for entry into the Jireh-Jah facilities (in adition of course to coughing up a lot of money) is to be a JW in good standing. I do wonder what they would do to an elderly resident who started expressing "apostate" beliefs: Would that apostate end up in the street? Knowing the way modern residential facilities are run, they probably have rules on every aspect of residency so that they can turf you out if you break da rules.

The Allentown home will be the first one in the USA.
The business has been around for a while.
There are other links in this thread.

Can just anyone say they are going into a business that is affiliated with Jehovah's Witnesses? Wouldn't the WTS have to approve the affiliation?
Of course, it's my understanding that this is associated with Judah Ben Schroeter (son of former GB member) and his millionaire FIL (who happens to be the JW Bro who has the car leasing business for COs/DOs).
Maybe it just depends on whose palm is being greased as to whether you can get the Holy Spirit Directed Corporation to bless your business plan?
It's not who you know....................it's who you "blow".
