True but they know and have learned how to lure people into their grasp and to only exploit these unfortunate

ones.

The implication of fear has the most impact and strength in gravitating people toward this religious organization

and actually holding them there.

The very reason they continuously kept on saying that Armageddon is just right the corner.

Lies, fear and ignorance built this organization and all its wealth.

Why change something that has worked so well ?

Including in this fear mongering came the actual sustainability of the men at the top to stay in power.

Without the proliferation of fear this organization would have never gotten off the ground and most

likely would have crumbled down a long time ago.

even now I tend to be oblivious to things going on around me, I can't tell you how many dates I have missed out on becuase I didn't know the girl was flirting with me till 5 days later.

Not sure if it was because of not being able to deal with the JW stuff or not, but it certainly seems to have protected me from the imagary described in this post.

Haha, same here. I never took that speculative stuff seriously. Besides zoning out at the meetings, I just didn't think that God would subject his people to something horrid.
