    G'day Blondie,

    Right on!

Who was it that was called the ones "who say, but do not do"?

    Nice post.

    Cheers,
    Ozzie

To be perfectly honest, in the JWs, the bleating sheep causes the shepherd to run the other way. Too much work to help one that is in trouble, and most likely the time required cannot be counted.

I went through a period of sporadic inactivity for several years. I had experienced a large dose of the unique form of "love" that is ladled out by the WTBTS, and found that I would suffer severe anxiety attacks at every meeting...to the point where I would get tunnel vision and be unable to breathe.

I finally gave up attending meetings, but I kept this scripture in the forefront. I just KNEW that one of the "shepherds" would seek me out and help me to become strong again. Several years went by with nothing.

Then, a couple of sisters came to the door. I invited them in and asked them to sit down. I made them tea, and they seemed quite pleased to have a listening ear. I made the mistake of telling them that I was inactive and needed help.

They both got panicked looks on their faces and began fidgeting uncomfortably. One of the sisters stated that they had recently had a talk where they were told that it was "seven times harder for an inactive person to get back to the 'truth' than it is for a new person to come in".

"Yes," I replied, "I have found that to be true. I've tried, and I'm having a lot of difficulty. I need help."

At that point they both stood up abruptly and hurried to the door, looking even more panic stricken. I asked them to come back as they literally ran down the front walk.

    I never saw them again.

    RHW,

Reminds me of automatons in a sci-fi movie!

Devoid of feelings, they just have programmed responses.

    Cheers,
    Ozzie
