Yes, today is Mother's Day..a day for "Thanks for being my Mom Day!"
I just got the most wonderful gift from my daughter(age 13). Tears to my eyes it did bring..an e-mail from her heart. She had wrote this a few days ago (this was not even intended for Mother's Day). How appropriate that I had not found it in my mail box until today.

    She writes :

Hey I just want you to know that I love ya and that everything will work out if we stick together and even if times are hard and we don't think we can make it ( which I think that won't happen because you know us ) we will always have each other and even if we are shunned ( not us -lol ) just remember that you have good friends and family that love ya and just want you to be happy and I want you to know that I will be there for ya through thick and thin. Well except if you one day meet and marry some guy that likes to play golf then your on your own.

Ahhh..have I been blessed or what???

It took me quite a while to realize that the real deal is to be able to be enough of a person on your own to know when somebody loves you and cares about you.

Happy Mothers Day, NoIdea and congratulations on your daughter.

I have received many comments as that from my oldest daughter, now 29. Although not a Mommie, I am filled with pride when she comes to me and talks about her feelings of her childhood. Sometimes I think maybe she goes overboard a bit, but the male ego takes whatever it can.

Being a parent isn't always easy and when they come to you later and talk about what wonderful memories they have of growing up and how they now see what sacrifices we made, well, it just makes one feel great.

Wise beyond her years. Especially about that golf thing.

I'm glad you found a special reason for joy this mother's day! Lord knows you deserved something good to come your way.

Regarding golf -- does an occasional round of mini-golf count against a guy??
