When I asked questions to a R&F family member that they couldn't answer their default response was: 'Oh, that doesn't matter. It's the truth!'
"Deep down inside even they know it is BS." Discuss

she just talked about all her lovely JW friends.-Xant
You gotta face it though, many JWs especially those who have been baptised for 30/40 year plus are lovely genuine people. Sadly they are doormats, but they keep ploding along and have true love amongst themselves. I know many individuals like this, I miss them very much indeed. They are holding to what the WT used to be like when the congs were more loving and elders were more shepherds than judges.
They are living their lives the best way they can and have true solid friendships. What they know deep down is irrelevant sadly, strong bonds are keeping them where they are.

PUNK: Any inconsistancies and they 'Wait on Jehovah(TM)'.
And then there is also: "Even if it is ALL wrong. . . . . It's still the BEST WAY OF LIFE."

Phizzy- When I was an elder we had an old brother who was of the "anointed" as our Circuit Overseer, his tatement about "Elders cannot stepdown they will only be announced as removed" was a shocker. No dignity.

Good thoughts above. I agree with Laika that "It's all BS" is too strong of a statement, but that they definitely lack confidence in their beliefs. I'll just add that if JWs were more confident in their beliefs, they wouldn't run away at the first sign of a real debate with someone, and they wouldn't be afraid of apostate information.
I noticed as a JW that I was different from the others in this respect; I was very confident in my beliefs as a JW and was determined not to avoid any contrary information because I was sure I could disprove it. I would debate anyone and read anything. Like JWFacts. Um, oops. I was wrong. But I'm so glad that I know TTATT now as a result of being willing to read things that conflicted with my beliefs.

Dude. Bottom line. These guys got REALLY stinkin' rich off of fooling people. They are not going to stop. Even if the rats are jumping off of the sinking ship they will continue to ride this pony until the bottom of the ocean. It's all about the money.
