I really thought the witnesses had the truth, until I came here.The lies were real whoppers. The truth did hurt but it also set me free.

I started coming here right after I decided I didn't want to be a dub anymore. I had no idea about all the scandals, doctrinal errors, and absolute bull coming out of Brooklyn. All I knew was that I was unhappy and the borg was making it worse. I could see that my kids weren't happy, and Just ROn wasn't happy. I was too tired to care about eternity. I began looking on the internet for answers to some of Just ROn's questions, and found this site. He was far more attuned to inconsistencies and bull than I was.

Well It says I joined 2 years ago, I would have said 4 or 5 years ago at least but maybe I lurked for a while before joining?
Either way it was 10-12 years after I left before I found this site. I'd already made peace with my departure from the witlesses

I figured things out on my own. I never would have come to an "apostate" site otherwise. I was out both mentally and physically for about 3 months before I became curious enough to validate my thoughts. That was in 2006.

I joined after learning TTATT, but before leaving the Witnesses (still in).

Same here. I took years to confirm that it was not the truth before looking to external sources, but the exit was quite rapid after that due to help from sites like this.

Almost 2 years lurking then sign up I believe in Jan. of 2009. I was the P.O. at the time. Then finally in Jan. 2011 I left and never looked back. I really had to think hard in what year this all happen. Boy were has all the time gone? Still Totally ADD

Eight years after. I was still a bit scared of "apostate" sites before that. I knew in my gut it wasn't "the truth", but I couldn't have explained why, I just knew I wanted no part of it. Up until finding JWN I thought the GB was well meaning, just misled, lol.

I went to 2001translation.com about the translation of the septuagent bible version before I went strait to any apostate sites, then to some sites that talked about the history of the ORG then jwfacts then finally here about a year ago.
