Happy Anniversary! When Just Ron and I got married, some of our friends were making bets on how long it would last. No one gave us more than 5 years. We've been married for 22 years now, and are still happy and in love. Our JW years in the middle of our marriage were crappy, but we are out and free again!
Our 10th Wedding Anniversary today.

I was married 10 horrible years to my JW ex...
Now 7+ (8 years living together), with a wonderful never been a jw girl...Never been happier!

Happy Anniversary, good for you. I am lucky enough to be married to my best friend and soul mate too. In my experience JW marriages are less likely to last and be happy than "worldly" marriages. Too many are rushed into due to strict rules about sex outside of marriage, and 18th century courtship rules complete with chaperones. Add to that antiquated notions about headship, the burdens of meeting attendance, service, etc. Then they prohibit divorce, so people are stuck in these poorly thought out marriages.
