Jehovahs witnesses dont have the name of GOD right so how can they be his witnesses

  The overall context of Isa 43:10 says that Jacob and Israel had witnessed God. These chapters do not say that Jacob and Israel were going door-to-door giving out witness statements. These chapters say that even though they had witnessed YHWH, they had not called on Him (Isa 43:20-24). For that reason, God had brought them to the low state they were experiencing (Isa 43:26-28, Israel's destruction and Judah's captivity in Babylon).

  It is interesting that Isa 43:10 says that his "witnesses" were his "servant" ("slave class"???).

  Rutherford shackled the organisation with his "Jehovah's witness" legacy. Not only did he use a verse that is completely irrelevant and damaging, but he has prevented the JWs being able to break free from this word "Jehovah", which was invented by the Catholic Church in the 13th century.

  jehovah is a man made invention. therefore jeovahs witnesses are testifying to that fact. everything they believe in is man made---a myth--a fairy story. if it comforts them--so be it.

  any half-way intelligent persons who were caught up in the hysteria are now leaving in droves---leaving the spear-wielding 3rd world lunatics to run the asylum.

  That has got to be the most trolled argument for trolls.

  Who really cares about what God's name is and who is using it. There are more important things to worry about.

  If it were important, it would have been preserved. But if it is not important than the arguments that JWs have made could not have been made. It is possible that he left it unpreserved as a test for his people interested in the name to find and use.

  Leave it as something that we will never know the truth about until God reveals it.

  And as stated above, no one uses Jesus' given name, so why is it that everyone complains about the use of God's name?

  Then why say "apostle"? Why not just say anyone living then. Probably not, their version of the name then.

  This is the whole silliness of bagging a JW on the name J E H O V A H, the spelling J E S U S was not in use until the same time. Neither has any magical or salvific charms attached to them.

  It seems one of the weaker arguments against JWs.
