Hmm! The creative day problem. In the past it was simple. 6,000 years since the creation of man + 1,000 years of Christ's reign post apocalypse, 7,000 years for a creative day x 7 = 49,000 years, bish, bash bosh. The job's a good 'un.
Now err err what now? The 6000 years are fixed. There is bible chronology. lots of people with cheap eye-glasses and weak chins spent ages working it all out and writing it down.
Imagine the GB meeting (please note, not gb)
Oh dear! Can we have one 7000 year creative day and some others er what, 500 million years long? No? Well let's fudge it, let's be vague try this: "each of the six creative days could have lasted for millions of years". No they'll never wear that, I can't get up on the platform and say that. What about "each of the six creative days could have lasted for a million of years or more". Hmmm! thats just as bad lets just say "each of the six creative days could have lasted for thousands of years", i mean 500 million is lots of thousands of years isn't it so it's not a lie is it? We'll go with that, they'll never notice. We did it with the generation after all, OK. That's a wrap.
