Another good conversation my wife yesterday! I got her to read the main page at JWfacts and she was astounded by the lawsuits for protecting pedophiles, the UN. She didnt complete the whole page becUse she clicked on the links to those subjects.

we talked about them and she agreed with it. But she said that other orgs have the same issues and she feels the dubs still have a lot right. She said she agrees that her problem is also now the GB and not the friends (cultspeak for "our friends").

Then she opened up and told me that shes such a follower and sh. Cares so much what others think and is so forgiving that she will follow along. So she told me that whatever decision I am convinced is true or correct she will follow: DA, fade, Df, new church, whatever. I told her that it sounded good but im not going to do what the GB does and that she is accountable for her own beliefs and not to just follow the flow of what i say. I told her we need to know what you believe and you also are free to make what choice you need to.

I also asked her if shed like to read CoC...Tk understand how wrong the GB are about some "apostates".

    Good stuff.

    Now to the meeting!

I found two very interesting, yet contradictory comments made. We were in the Jehovah book thingy (not the bible) and the section was about Jehovahs awesome power. So an old brother made this comment: When i saw the sunset tonight that was a display of Jehovahs awesome power. And we can trust and know that Jehovahs power will always be used for good.

The next comment from the platform: When we see hurricanes and tornadoes, and when the wind was so strong back then and destroyed mountains//THAT also shows Jehovahs power"

I about fell out of my chair. My wife saw the look on my face and i bet she thought i might be going into shock....Just fascinating! You cant pay to see this stuff!

and of course there was more on family worship and a "model" family was interviewed. boy o boy how encouraging! ;-)

Anyways thats about it for now. Ill update when my wife reads the rest of jwfacts or COC. Thanks for everyones help!!!

Your absolutely right about each person has to make their own decision. We all have people we care about and wish to think alike on important matters but you can't force another person to see what you see. The situation sounds promising I'm sure she'll make a good decision.

JP: But she said that other orgs have the same issues and she feels the dubs still have a lot right.

That would mean that JWs are not any different than those other religions. No?

Kudos for insisting she make her own decision, otherwise a convincing elder could come along and have her believing again. The JWs say you have to "make the truth your own", you also have to make TTATT your own.

Good progress over all, it's amazing what you pick up on once your eyes are opened.

Oub--its a doublethink...--like other orgs JWs are imperfect but they Re the closest to the truth. I told her that that is based on limited knowledge of other religions. Then i told her that there are a ton of odganizations claiming to be the truth And many are cults...her eyes widened a little and i just let it hang in the air.

Ive learned how emotionally intelligent my wife can be...knowing how she feels and expressing it openly so i can understand. So shes open about this war in her. How she understands and agrees with what i say but because she was raised this way, is primed to respond differently...very interesting

The tide is turning in your family! The same thing happened in ours about a year ago. Continue to be patient. The pull of the Org and the congregation will cause set backs and instill some fear of becoming inactive.

She needs your reassurance and will want to hear how you're excited about your life (and what the future holds for you two).

Make some friends outside the borg. Invite a neighbor over to cook out or go hang out with some friends from work. You will both want these new social connections when the inevitable happens. It makes fading much easier.

This is great news. If your wife read from the "ultimate apostate website" IMO she WILL wake up to TTATT. Its just a matter of time now. If I showed my wife the page, she may break my computer and call the C.O.B.E.
