Once you know ttatt everything watchtower® is vomit inducing.

I am sure you can escape the clutches of 'encouragement®'.

It will get better with time....it took me not attending my JC getting kickrd out of the org....best thing ever.

If you can laugh at how pathetic all the JW meet ups are the better

Yuck!! Sorry! I love it when I see an old witness friend and ask them to get together "for coffee or drinks or something" to catch up and they suggest "yeah, we should do service soon". Can't we be friends outside of that for 5 seconds?

    "Watchtarded", how funny.

Why can't they just be normal?? Because they is jubber dubbers, you silly thing.

I absolutely HATED the idea of Family Worship, never did it.Couldn't bear the thought of more utter b0ll0cks in a week.

Good luck honey. I will pray for disease to enter the Eldub's home and kill his livestock.

On the one hand, I feel sorry for you. Yes, why couldn't they just have you over for dinner and talk like human beings.

On the other hand, I see this Family Worship thing as a source of potential problems for the society at some point. I keep seeing families inviting other families over for FW Night and planning what topic they're going to talk about on social media. What you have then, really, is private study groups - something the society does not want.

Just wait: there'll be a Kingdom Ministry article about how FW Night is just for your family, and not an excuse to have your own private study group. That could be dangerous!

The WTS tells jws in "good standing" that are trying to help jws that are inactive, etc., only in the context of talking about a recent talk, study, convention, etc., not just social. The WTS views just socializing is dangerous and that the inactive person is like a sick person and shouldn't be invited to a party but to get well first. So some jws try to combine the two. But few jws will just socialize without the veneer of bible discussion.

    *** w08 11/15 p. 9 par. 8 Help Those Who Stray From the Flock ***

When a fellow believer is physically sick, the visit of a shepherd of God’s flock can be a source of joy and encouragement. The same can be the case when a spiritually ailing sheep is given personal attention. Elders may read scriptures, review an article, discuss meeting highlights, pray with the inactive one, and so forth. They can point out that members of the congregation would be delighted to see him come back to congregation meetings.

Memories. The highlight of my mom's life, and frankly a defining period for me, was the two years we lived in Trinidad. We took lots of pictures but back then they were put on slides. Any time neigbhours came over mom pulled out the slide projector and we were entertained with the complete set. Once-charming, twice-nice, three times, stab me with a spoon.

DD, you seem to be at boiling point now. Many who have an exit plan to fade sometimes end up staying in for longer than they wanted. How is your exit plan going DD? Do you have one or did you think you would just stay in for family?

DD do you think you need to revaluate your circumstances?

I think you are trapped in a cult and you know it, you have loved ones who are indoctrinated and you have had enough of faking it. Get out of family worship with this couple and then look at the situation with a more long term view.

Chin up DD, we are all here for you.

    Kate xx
