He stayed once in my Bethel room. Loved Hawaii a lot (repeated that a couple of times during his zone visit). I think he also liked my collection of worldly action movies (the stack in my room was not in the same order as I left them - or he was looking for porn or something to get me to trial).
Not a big loss to the world. Move on. Nothing to see here.

Remember how you felt when these announcements were read in the Kingdom Hall? If it was one of the ones that was lesser known you kind of looked around at your friends like - do you know hwo that is? Then some of the uber dubs would shake their head and mumble "oh no" to let everyone know they knew who it was and it personally affected them.

I do not "celebrate" the death of anyone. I am saddened that another Governing Body member passed without coming forward as a whistle blower about coverups and current policies. At the same time, I recognize that he had ample opportunity to do that, and has instead continued his heavy participation in encouraging people to sacrifice education, family, career, happiness, and life itself (when things like the blood policy come up). So I don't blame people who tend toward celebration of the loss of another cult leader.

It's already on various JW sites. Can someone say or does anyone know exactly how he contributed to JW policy during his time as a GB member?

So, the Guy Pierce died of a massive stroke!
Don't the scriptures say something along the lines that the GB would be dying off by way of a martyr's death?
Haven't heard of anyone of the GB in last 100 years die off as a martyr. Only from cancer, heart attack, stroke and etc. No martyr yet!
Jesus Christ, Paul, Peter, John, Stephen and many other old timers went by way of a martyr's death.
Most of the modern day GB get the luxury of dying in a hospital, tucked away in their own private suite and bed, given the best medical attention, injected full of valium or some other type of pain killer to ease the discomfort and die and off they go to 'sky daddy' to receive their reward. A reward for what?
What's up with that!
