I imagine it must be hard to find a place to live in that area, there are so many different neighborhoods, plus its quite expensive from what I hear. I had similar issues moving the the San Francisco area three years ago. Even in the depths of the recession, prices were a lot higher than Colorado. We were discouraged at first. We finally found a little town we liked, a reasonable commute, prices were cheap for the bay area, weather is nearly perfect, we are far enough inland that we don't get fog, but close enough to the bay that we don't get hot. It was a short sale, so kind of uncertain, but we waited it out (five months in a furnished rental) and we couldn't be happier. We were just very lucky to find the perfect house for us.
Any seniors looking for association?

Doctor has me tapering some meds and starting some others. I slept 2 days and then could not sleep at all last night or today. This will all work out, it just takes a while to adjust to some meds. I was on one med my new doctor said I should never have been on. So he has me tapering that one. I look forward to about a month from now to be on the road to stability on my meds. I am exhausted just dizzy nearly with so many changes in meds.
I forgot who mentioned prunes, oh dear I am way beyond that. I am on Linzess and it is working very well. A lot of my issue has to do with the meds I take. A lot of them almost stop peristalsis. I highly recommend anyone with this issue to see a GI and mention this drug by name. They are doing TV commercials now about it. Do any of you recall the drug Zelnorm? well it was for IBS with constipation and was taken off the general market in 07 due to some reports of heart disease. It can still be gotten but only with approval, or so they say.

That's interesting Violia, I am overdue for a colonoscopy, I think I need to get in and get that done, I will ask about that drug. Things have been very haywire, I had several days of bubblies in the bowlies this week, it was miserable. Then I got a UTI, which because of my bladder condition has ramped my pain up 100%. My poor bladder is always tender and inflamed, adding an infection is like pouring acid on a wound.
I get a certain dose of pain meds, and I get exactly the amount needed for thirty days, so if I want to increase the dose I have to make an appointment and go back to the pain clinic. Fortunately I had antibiotics on hand, so I am trying to tough it out until the meds kill the infection. My coping mechanism for times like these is to hunker down in the bedroom, put on my heating pad, and play sudoku. Sudoku helps occupy my brain so I don't think about how much pain I am in.
I am trying to stay positive, I know if I don't it will only make things worse, but it's hard.

mds always told me to distract the pain. Easier said than done.

So I planted three tomato plants Sat. plus one cherry in a big pot. I love love love tomatos ! I also planted lots of flowers. I have two pots left that I want to put flowers in. I wanted to get two of those spikey things you see in the middle of pots. They come in green or a dark red. They are tall 12'' to 18'' high.I don't know the name, but they look cool in the middle with lower flowers around them and the lowest trailing flowers on the edge.
Well Lowes ( store ) had not one. ( strange ? ) Was shopping with my husband and he was in a hurry....so guess I'll go serching tomorrow.
So the bottom line is I love tomatos, and hate shopping with my husband. lol
Hope you are all doing well, Sherry

I have some herbs to plant but I am too sick today. I called the doctor and got some stronger antibiotics, I slept most of the day and I am feeling a little better.
I think the spiky plant is called spike, actually. I remember buying it for my pots to give some height, but I haven't seen it lately. I used penstemen for height, but one quickly outgrew the pot and I had to transplant it unto the garden. The other one had a bigger pot and is still going strong along with an allisum, a larger than usual variety. I also used a miscanthus grass, it took over the pot so nothing else could grow, but it looks good so I left it. It gets these feathery ends in the fall and it looks very dramatic swaying in the breeze. The cat likes to eat it too.

hello guys. I just found out today from my neurologist that I have RA. He has not run the blood tests but says he's sure. It runs in my family too. I see a Rhemotologist soon and I guess they will run the tests. My hands have looked like RA for about a year now. I have the RA nodules . It explains a number of things, weird symtoms.

Too bad about having RA, but it's good to get the right diagnosis, hopefully they have good treatments for this.
