It angers me that JWs run around saying how bad the world is when this is by far the best time in all history to be alive from almost every indicator. They are hypocrites to criticise the world, but partake of all its benefits in regards to health, education, and scientific advancement such as cars, electricity and IT.
JW lifestyle is the best way to live!

Tell it, y'all!
I know of some young ones who left and were treated harshly by their parents because that's what the parents were trained to do.
That is so wrong; they need us more than ever when they're at such a vulnerable age.
Yes, they're going to do stupid things and make some serious mistakes, but turning our backs on them is only going to make the situation worse.
The JW's are not encouraged to show compassion - only a judgmental attitude!
If you call that the best way to live, then I wouldn't want to see the worst.

So what is the jw lifestyle per the original poster? If it is so wonderful, he must be able to define it clearly.
The elder who lives in the 5,000 SF house or the jw in the same congregation who lives in the 300 SF trailer but has 4 viable bible students?
The elder who spends his time giving talks but not door to door, working on building KHs, doing drive-bys, never studies with his family because he's too busy, hasn't made a shepherding visit in 5 years, goes on 2 cruises a year surrounded by non-jws missing the CO visit once a year because of it...

Amen, Blondie.
I know of one who took his family on trips to practically every state in the Union, but never thought to inquire about the lowly, hard-working sister (yours truly) who left her sorry husband and was barely scraping enough together for food and shelter.
The sister didn't qualify for Federal assistance because her income put her just a tad above the guidelines.
Now, because his youngest son kept getting into trouble with the law and had to be bailed out repeatedly, Mr. Big Shot is in the same spot where that lowly sister once was, and has been hitting my nephew up for financial aid.
Best way to live, my foot!

Apparently FL_Panthers doesn't realise that JWs live in the same world as everyone else. They are members of a quite unremarkable minor religion that is quite similar to various other unremarkable minor religions, and their quality of life is the same as that of other people in the areas in which they live. Watch Tower Society literature attempts to contrast the 'JW lifestyle' with that of the worst elements of society to create a perception of disparity, whereas most people in general society are at least as happy and healthy as JWs, and are more likely to have a better education than JWs as well.

I am new to this forum, I have been disassociated for 30 years.. it was the best decision I made.. I suffered from extreme anxiety. and although some JW's were genuine.. there were a lot of not so nice ones.. most likely because they were raised as a JW and felt trapped.. My son thanks me that I chose not to raise him in this cult life and he is free to make his life the way he wants to.. There is nothing good about being involved with an organization like JWs
