I NEVER Hear A JW Talk About Never Dying & Living Forever In Paradise Anymore!

I was raised with this belief, that we would never die and actually make it into the "new system".

Mu faithful JW aunt still talked about my mother (her sister) and her walking together into the great tribulation--- and never die at all! She spoke of that 2 days before she passed away.

I believe most Witnesses expect to die and then get resurrected. No more illusions or fantasies.

That is probably because you have been out for 12 years. Seriously minimus, are you still in? Do you go to all the meetings?

    Hello Min

Sadly your aunt believed the end would come at any minute before her demise

    As most Witnesses would boast

    .

" She was faithful til the end "

    .

" It is true that the Witnesses have made mistakes in thier understanding of what would occur at the end of certain time periods,"___Reasoning book page 136

    .

    .

    What a waste

Wasblind, I agree with what you say about my aunt and everyone's delusion.

I am finding that many dubs hold to the party line when they talk in public but one on one they betray the fact that they don't believe the end is coming soon.

My mother is a classic example. She berates me for missing meetings for work and recreation, hinting that Armageddon can come at any minute now but out of the other side of her mouth tells me the most tax friendly way to save for retirement.

Make's sense. I would also add that many JW's don't really care nor really believe that the end is close. There are of course exceptions i.e. the die hard JW's such as CO/CO's Wife wannabes, the old Widow that longs to see her husband again, etc.

I am really convinced that a lot of JW's stay in because of social and familial relationships. Its become their culture, identity.

min, total nonsense I know you're not a true believer I read enough of your posts to know that. But seriously are you still in after all this time? I find that hard to believe as you have referred to you gf before and her 27 yr old daughter. stop winding me up.

You never hear JW talks co you never go, thats what I think min.

I think they stay because the society make them feel worthless, prevents them from learning to take care of themselves and then threaten to kick them out if they mess up. But don’t worry we will all be going to God's Disney Land real soon now!!!

They remind me of an abusive husband that traps his wife into staying with him by belittling her and not allowing her to have a job or go to school so she has no choice but to stay.
