That's part of the problem with the video, the Watchtower is obviously obsessed with masturbation, something which would be odd to most people in the first place. Combine that with the graphic nature of sign language, and the end result becomes somewhat pornographic in its own right, as well as making them look ridiculous. Seinfeld once did an entire episode on the subject without ever mentioning it by name, and the result wasn't as offensive as the Watchtower video. It's no wonder some JWs didn't believe it was for real, it's an embarrassment.
Hopefully it woke a few people up to the fact that the Watchtower is completely out of touch with reality. They are losing most of their young people already, you would think they would be more concerned with that and less concerned with what people do in the privacy of their bedrooms at night.

^ I think the real issue is the WT is obsessed with people spending 100% of their time either in studying the GB's utterances or field service. Sports are bad because you can be doing study and field service. Vacations are bad because you can be doing field service. Movies, games, etc, are bad because you can be doing field service and study. If the WT was very open, the masturbation article/video would have really said that the time spent double clicking the mouse and choking the chicken could be better spent studying and doing more field service. . They would go into charts of how much time is spent each week by average for men and women and how it probably amounts to more time than spent in field service.

Authoritarian regimes have always been inclined to deter sexual expression for the express purpose of redirecting that pent-up energy to the advancement of the regimes' agenda.

Any JW who thinks it is a fake planted by anti JWs (it is no longer on the website) should look and see the same ASL signer on the "whole association of brothers" ASL video that is still online. The download from JW.org is pretty hard to deny though. -
