perfect viewing of copper moon under Mars. through the rustling palms and bamboo.
It is actually very peaceful, more like one of those candle-lit paper lanterns, hot air balloons, a GLOWING orange colour, unmarred by crater details.
one of the nicest sights, after the Milky Way during the 40s black-out, Kahoutec.--- wow.
that what I call a memoriable --sight.
regret I can not see it without glasses, because even with glasses you get cheated out of seeing the real-direct photons that left the sun, got filtered by the earth and hit your nerve-endings. well,
next time.
Got a great view from my area in the soutwest of USA. Sat on my front porch and watched. It is still red. Looks really cool. I listened to " Bad Moon Rising " while I was watching it. Great atmosphere.

I have been watching it here in Australia since 6:05 pm , the northern suburb of Brisbane , Deception Bay , in the east about 30 degrees above the horizon .
thanks to you guys for alerting me to it.

moon a brilliant white, now casting shadows again.
the solar powered lighshow is over for now.
Finally I managed to put all the pics together... yes, they are not aligned... -.- but right now I am too lazy to align them all...
Unfortunately once it got to totality the clouds came in... I had to drive 2 hours south of my city to be able to be in the only place in the province with a clear sky around the time of the eclipse... well... technically another city did have clear skies... but this area was supposedly the clearest...
Great set of pics!
I got to watch it -- sat out in the garden with some other old folks until after midnight. We watched until totality and then I came in -- it was getting cold! Watched the rest of it on Slooh.com which is a very cool website. Well, I didn't sit there and watch, that's sort of like watching water boil. I checked in now and then to see how it was progressing.
Very pretty eclipse.
I got just a wee bit of an uncomfortable feeling in the pit of my stomach at first when I went to Wikipedia under “Blood Moon Prophecy” and saw this photograph of the blood moon which took place on April 15, 2014:
I’ve actually been having some nightmares, even fairly recently, about the “celestial phenomenon” that the WTS came out with at one of the summer district conventions a few years ago (I believe it was sometime in the 90’s.)
Anybody else here experienced even just a tiny twinge of foreboding fear coming across this and triggering the memory of the WTS’ latest “understanding” (bet) of Jesus’ apocalyptic prophecy about the signs in the sun, moon, and stars and the “sign of the Son of Man”? I’m rather curious about that. Please, do tell.
no feeling of impending gloom&doom, it was a very comforting glow, just as shown in your picture, even mars above it did not look like the war god.
