Everytime a see a reference to that Watchtower about the Children who put Jehovah first [Our Child Matyrs] I also see in my minds eye that awful illustration in the Paradise Lost book of a parent offering his child into the lap of Molech.

If any comparison to ancient child sacrifice is to be made, then it should be the JW parents who sacrifice the lives of their children to Haemolech, the God of blood, by denying them lifesaving blood transfusions.

That illustrated haunted me the most. I've had nightmares about the infants throughout my life. Does a kid truly need to see such illustrations? Sometimes I wonder if a modern judge would find them guilty of child abuse for that drawing. Both my brother and I shook whenever we looked on that page. We looked a lot. My mom would confiscate the book.
