The amount was determined by the number of publisher and sent once a year. The payment was added to one of the monthly remitance form. The program is called Kingdom Hall Assistance Arrangement or KHAA...

KHAA...yes that was it NVR.
With the WBT$ always follow the money.

We had the the letter read out last week - £3 per publisher is the cost in UK for the Org's insurance.
I wouldn't hesitate to claim if I had an accident if the KH was culpable - that's what the insurance is for!

St George of England
As mentioned above it's called the KHAA and is £3.00 per publisher per year.
They do not use the word 'insurance', presumably because this would attract insurance premium tax (5%).
We had some damage caused by vandals but were encouraged to pay for it locally.

St George of England = What a bloody cheek. To take out an insurance premium for the unexpected, only to find that you have to cover the cost if the unexpected happens.

The personal injury payout limits are derisory.
It's something like £2000 if you lose an arm or leg.
If it happened to me I'd have to sue to get the rest of the compensation I was due - It might mean I could never work again so I'd need enuogh to live on for the rest of my life.

I can imagine how a person trying to sue Jar Hoover's paedophile protecting mouthpiece would be guilt tripped into suffering without a claim against the WBT$.
How many rank and file would dare do it without fear of being labelled negatively by the rest of the cult?

Point, have the congregations been contribution for the WTS self-insurance for the whole time of its existence or did this start about the same time they went to non-profit (or equivalent) status, paying health insurance for COs and DOs, and leasing cars for them. I remember when I was a child at the KH about 50 years ago, there was no central system, Circuits paid for the CO's car and expenses and took up collections to pay for medical care, even catastrophic surgeries.
Companies who self-insure in this area have to have a certain amount of assets and employees to participate. And if the company does not play fair with the individua (employee or customer on their property go to the state government agency to act in their behalf. Of course the WTS discourages jws to sue individual jws, the congregation or the WTS labeling them bad jws and unofficially labeling them. I have see it done...it helps to have a husband who is an elder. I told the individual what they could do to get the WTS to reimburse (WTS hired a lawyer) and referred that person to a good lawyer, pro bono. The WTS paid but the jw was discouraged by the extreme lack of love and could be called a fader
