    Yes sounds familiar. I the late 60s and early 70s when the Jesus People Movement was popular there were many stories of either an angel or Jesus himself appearing to people. Usually the story I would hear was Jesus appearing along a deserted road.

    I know of some who would make the long trip to New Orleans to acquire a "hand" from one of the legendary Seven Sisters.

    We children were admonished not to look too hard at a certain old lady for fear that she would give us the Evil Eye.

    A new mother had to march around her house 6 times by herself, the 7th and last time with her newborn in her arms.
