So I decided to send a text. “I respectfully decline this invitation and any future invitations. Please do not contact me again. Thank you.” Short and sweet. Hope they get it this time… lol... just listened to it again... it was directed to just me. Not to the whole family. He didn't ask Mrs. Dazed?
You should have added "P.S. Mrs Dazed and the family are fine....not that you asked."
I am invitation challenged.
Not the first year, but this year- no calls to invite, no paper on the front door. My wife finally mentioned just yesterday that she was going to the Memorial "tomorrow."
I don't usually get paper invites. I used to get called, and personally invited, by a local elder who got my cell number, somehow. The only time I would be contacted was for the memorial, or if the CO was visiting. I haven't heard from him in a couple of years, though.
He may or may not go. There is a horrible storm predicted tonight. Let's see where his priorities are....
