I visited there in 1978. My Dad was a Catholic. Joan of Arc was burned there. God bless her.

To the OP... Why would an organization of such high caliber choose to locate there?
Have you ever heard of the game Monopoly?
Isn't that what Watch Tower did in Brooklyn?When they started selling off their "stash" of different properties, I had no idea they had so many I had never heard of before.
But then, when you realize WT's "work" is taking other people's money to buy world wide properties, then again ask these same people to volunteer to give them free labor to renovate or straight up build, what makes us think this is only "one" "small" property they have bought and fixed up in this tourist city???
You and I do not know if they are secretly , through a holding company, buying up the neighborhood, and in the mean time, renting, or leasing out, until they have monopolized the area they want.
WT lies and says it is okay for them to do that. "They" call it "spiritual warfare" and "big business" tactics, that we little people wouldn't understand.
All they tell the little people is, "Doom and gloom. Doom and gloom. We are stressing you out, so that you have no time to think, so do as we say and quick give us all your valuable assets because you don't need them, but we do".
Jehovah's Witnesses all the time hear , "Doom and gloom. Doom and gloom. Gimme , gimme , gimme ".
All the higher up's in WT and their friends, hear is "cha ching ... " as they laugh all the way to the bank.

PS I have no proof, but WT does have the ability to buy and sell hidden properties all over the world.
That is what large worldwide property and investment firms do.
They are in the business of making money, disguised as "Christian do-gooders". hahahahaha
