I had the opportunity to speak with 5 Elders at once recently. They were all gibbering about JW stuff, so I asked , Who was the first FDS?!?! It must have been Rutherford, right??" Silence for a fiew seconds. " Well, it would have been post 1919, and would be the board of directors, including Rutherford." Mmmm.. Ok. "Hey, would Mark Sanderson be an overlapper??" [ LOL!! I threw that term in..] " Probably not, right?!?! He woul dhave needed to be partaking when ol' Fred Franz was still alive, right??", I asked.

They said, " Hmmm.. He would not be an part of the "generation." I said, " Oh, yeah, because they are advancing in years, so that means 70 and up, not 50." They said, " Uhhh, yeah! There might be a really old brother or sister around of the second group, and THEY WILL NOT PASS AWAY. That's how close the END is."

So there you have it. The END is really, really, really, close. If a 70+ year old is in the 2nd group, then we are talking 20 years or so, on average. 30 years, tops. The ol' WTBTS has plenty of wiggle room to make some nu-light in the meantime. Just sayin'.

LOL!! Yep! They also mentioned some local partakers in their mid-50's. They said, " It doesn't matter how old they get, only the 2nd goup matters. They Will NOT pass away!" You better start keeping tabs on the 70+ anointed.. They are " all in."

Sanderson would be an overlapped depending on when he partook. One online source (can't confirm this) said he started in his 20's. Being born in 1965, that would mean he had to have done it sometimes between 1985-1994. Assuming that Fred Franz was the final partaker before or during 1914 and the last one alive from that time, his death was in 1992 at age 99. If Sanderson started before 1992, he would be part of "this generation" because he partook while there was still a member alive from the first group. If he partook after 1992, he would no longer count.

Lets say that the youngest partakes before Fred Franz death ranged from ages 18-20. Franz died in December of 1992 so there could still be partakers that same year in April. This would mean they were born from 1972-1974. Today those people would be ranging between ages 40-42. Still plenty of time left until they reach a much older age.

I asked about.Stephen Leptt, or however you spell it. I think he was in his 20's when he partook. They were.like, " mmmm...nope!"

Sanderson was partaking when he was in his early twenty's. He was living in Flinflon, Manitoba, at the time. He was an ms at the time when a brother had asked him if he was sure of being one of the annointed since he couldn't even give any counsel to those in the ministry school on their parts.

It's all a convoluted mess. Are the older GB supposed to be in the second group? Whatever the case may be, or whatever wiggle room is built in, the JWs think the END is coming any day now. Imagine their disappointment.

Data-Dog, they thought that Stephen Lett isnt part of "the generation"? From the sound of it, it looks like they didn't know how to respond to what you told them but to just go along. I have a feeling that they don't even understand this doctrine!

So then Sanderson would be part of "the generation" but not according to the way the elders responded. The January Watchtower made the whole thing sound urgent, up to the same old tricks.

It is a mess. Basically its this:

Group 1: anointed before or during 1914. (Group 1 had to have ended in the 1990's in theory)

+ Group 2: anyone anointed while members of Group 1 were alive (contemporaries of Group 1; had to be anointed at the latest by the 1990's)

    = "this generation"

Good one Data Dog, it must be so funny to watch these guys carry on with this nonsense.
