May 15, 2014 WT: "God will intervene on behalf of his people"

I borrowed this mag as I hadn't looked at one in several years. Of course I had to review "Are you moving ahead with Jehovah's organization?"

Paragraph 4 under heading "Satanic Action Leads to Armageddon" states:

How will God respond to satanic efforts to destroy his people? Jehovah will intervene in their behalf, exercising his right as Universal Sovereign. Jehovah considers an assault on his servants to be an attack on him (Read Zechariah 2:8.)

Yet he does not intervene when "his people" are being raped, abused, molested, beaten, cheated, slandered, or murdered.

Are these not considered satanic efforts? I've heard the old argument that this scripture only applies to the "group" of his people.

Thoughts on how to discuss with someone stuck inside?

"God will" is perhaps the greatest accusation against the biblical God being good.

Only if they are at risk of being totally destroyed AS A GROUP. If you have a WT-CD it might be interesting to search that phrase and see how they apply it.

What is your situation at present? I see you left years ago, is there a family member you want to wake up?

Trying to discuss this kind of doctrine with someone totally indoctrinated will just be frustrating and feed their persecution complex. But if there has been specific injustice within their family and cong, you have a great window. You can say well why hasn't Jehovah helped you in this situation.

That's exactly what woke us up, injustices. Once a JW realises Jehovah doesn't answer their prayers as far as the WT and the cong is concerned, they can then look at the bigger picture. Some JWs leave the org and are very happy believing God answers their prayers, others stop praying altogether. The important thing is that they wake up from the cult and think for themselves.

Psalm 116:15 assures us that Jehovah will not allow his loyal servants as a group to be entirely removed from the earth. In fact, our modern-day history chronicles our endurance of severe trials and persecution, thus furnishing clear evidence that God will never permit us to be exterminated.

Because of his limitless power and unfailing purpose, Jehovah will not allow us to be swept out of existence as a group . If God were to permit that, it would seem that his enemies are more powerful than he is—an impossibility!

How did God step in when 'his people' were assaulted by the Assyrians, Babylonians, Egyptians, Persians, Romans, German Nazis or the governments of Malawi, China, Soviet Russia, Italy, Singapore, Cuba, Spain or Greece?

Answer: NOTHING

Thousands imprisioned, maimed, raped and killed for nothing.

Today the Organization protects itself...and expects it's members to wait on 'Jehovah' to solve their problems.

Jehovah's Witness children and wives can be abused by their family or members of the congregations and the Org. provides zero support, counselling or practical assistance. However, the Watchtower will spend millions of dollars protecting their own assets and reputation.

And why is it that joke-hova intervenes every time Satan is about to successfully usher in a Golden Age? Seems joke-hova will not let Satan finish, since then no one would want to return to joke-hova and its communism.

As a group??? Err...talk about loaded language. It goes hand in hand with the Great Crowd doctrine. The GC which no man can number, is only JWs who survive the GT. How many is that? We don't know? Is it around 1 Million? That would be a "great crowd." The WTBTS likes to hedge their bets.

So how many JWs as a group will NOT be protected?? The GB have no idea. Still it doesn't matter because the "Assyrian" isn't going to attack the WTBTS. The worst thing they will experience is divine justice through the hands of the Superior Authorities. Even then, it all hinges on whether or not GOD exists and IF the Bible is reliable, and IF the WTBTS's end-times doctrines are even half-way accurate.

I don't think we have anything to worry about.... The WTBTS protects it's own interests. ANYTHING that threatens that is labeled as "Satanic." They are simply twisting scripture to explain why JWs keep dying off despite the myth of divine protection. The "angels" don't save anyone, not even sweet old ladies on the way to the Memorial, and that is the MOST sacred night in all of Jwism.

It seems to me the two bus crashes last year, one in Africa and the other in the eastern USA, where something like 30 or 40 JWs died, were a "group". They were on their way to the District Convention, you know, the one Jehovah™ told them they needed to attend? Why weren't they protected?

If Jehovah™ cannot, or will not, protect JWs travelling in large groups to a DC, why does anyone think he can/will do it in the future??? (that is assuming, for the sake of argument, Jehovah™ actually existed).
