Pedophiles have a safe haven within the organization for two reasons one being that little can be done to them
because of the two witness rule and secondly they know that the elders will not turn them into the authorities unless
it is required by law.
Add in the social perception that all JWS are deemed to be good and righteous, they exploit that outward perception
within the congregations they attend.
A case of the wolves in sheep clothing as it were.
.
Sadly and unfortunately children are put at risk in this religious organization similar to other known religious institutions.

Happened to me. The person is still 'in'. I am not. I am free, he isnt.
Knowing how common it is helped open my eyes and THANKFULLY get my family out before my young child was made a victim too.Im sorry for everyone else who sufferred thru such horrible experiences with little to no support.

I knew of many cases where molestation was covered up or minimized.
A close friend went to the elders because her father had molested her as a child. He denied it, stayed an elder, my friend got in trouble for telling anyone about it.
Same friend, her son was molested by a young brother. He confessed, was reproved and a short time later married a woman with young children. My friend tried to warn her, she got into trouble for that, the idiot married him anyway.
While all this was happening I kept thinking they were isolated incidents, simply because the Watchtower brags about how morally clean the congregations are and that these things happen rarely, if ever. Now I can't believe how naive that was. You seldom hear about it because it is hushed up, not because it didn't happen. People are told that it would bring reproach on Jehovah's name. What a laugh, they are afraid it would bring reproach to the Watchtower. It's a playground for pedophiles, everyone is so trusting in their so called spiritual paradise. They can get close to their victims and if they get caught, pretend to be repentant, which often works, especially if he is an elder. Pedophiles are always at risk of recommending no matter what they say.
I am just hoping for a good conclusion to the Candace Conti case, so that the rest of the world will know what a vile religion this is.

It's a question I've often asked, is just how big of a problem is it. If it's as big as the ex-jw community says it is, then they aren't having much success in sticking it to Wt.
