I always wondered why the borg didn't stress, give 10% of
your income like the churches. On a whole most JW's don't
make a lot of money, so 10% of their income will not cut the
mustard. How sick is this organization, don't go to college so
that you may get a good paying job but wash windows and
give us a 1/4 of your salary.....Sick SOBS

Do the math. They have 7 million captives to the concept every single month. Estimate what the average JW "contributes" on average every month.
Pick a number.
For the sake of argument, let's say it's $10/month.
Mutliply $10 x 7,000,000 publishers = $70,000,000/month
$70,000,000/month x 12 months/year = $840,000,000/year
That's nearly a billion dollars a year.
Let me repeat: THAT'S NEARLY A BILLION DOLLARS A YEAR!

I will ask my mom about it, because she recently complained that WT wants her and my JW family donate money. She literally told me that demand for money is turning into extersion.
MysticMage- I would be insulted if I was going to meetings and they are telling me to pledge money to the gb on a monthly basis. I am unemployed, ill and may be homeless soon.
The society should be sending money to help the poor publishers, not take money from them.
I stopped donating to them long ago and would not even give them a penny either.
I wish people's eyes would open up and they'd see this cult scam.
