Question: Where's The Doctrinal "Component" Behind Recent Changes?

  WT 15 Nov 2013 - "At that time, the life-saving direction that we receive from Jehovah’s organization may not appear practical from a human standpoint. All of us must be ready to obey any instructions we may receive, whether these appear sound from a strategic or human standpoint or not.

  Let's be honest, this can be taken in any context you like but there is no scriptural backing.

  Why do they need doctrine? They've got the R&F in their hypnotic control. How many JWs will say they 'just know they have the truth(tm)' without being able to give evidence....or at least evidence that isn't skewed?

  They DO have a dictrinal component/backing for all their decisions and changes – it is the doctrine of the GB! They rely on their own dictrinal authority, which, of course, they have manufactured. They in effect say, “We have divine backing, and we can prove it because it is in our literature.”

  The reality now is that their decisions and actions are reactionary as they strive to keep the WTS power trip afloat through the mine field of factual exposés of the discrepencies and blunders of their own making.

  I think we pretty much agree that they are headed for disaster with the new donation demands and more. They haven't trotted out any 'love of the greater number cooling off' crap or re-defined the 'truth' as belief in certain doctrines without regard for growth of numbers or any loving behavior.

  OTOH, perhaps I can now answer my own questions by fleshing this subject out - perhaps they are so firmly reactionary that any doctrinal change that emerges will be in reaction to whatever reactionary legal or financial change they've already made.

  They're not preparing the flock for downsizing or failure.

  They're preparing the Organization to survive downsizing or failure.

  There was No Doctrinal Componenet at all in the recent CO 's visit 'Look at the marvellous new changes" mid week part.

  Doctrines be darned [cobbled some more] ,

  proceed with pragmatic procedures.
