Has she hit it right on the head? It might not be too difficult to love someone who disagrees with your religious/political views, but I find it hard to feel any love for the arsehole who stole by motorbike and wrecked it, and that’s pretty trivial compared to the stuff that’s been done to other people.

I always find it somewhat amusing when Christians espouse that “Love” is the message of Christ, that Love is all you need – they conveniently ignore the other side of Christ, as did Ghandi. “Do not think I came to bring peace to the earth; I came to bring, not peace, but a sword. For I came to cause division, with a man against his father, and a daughter against her mother, and a daughter-in-law against her mother-in-law.” (Matt 10:34-35).

Yep, he certainly succeeded in doing that far more effectively than he did in spreading Love.

Well who knows what Jesus said or if he even existed. He didn't write anything down. Heresay I tell you!

    Heresay I tell you!

Maybe - but let's not kid ourselves into thinking that the message of that hearsay is Love, Love, Love.

It has more to do with letting Jesus be the judge. "I, the Lord, will forgive whom I will forgive; but of you it is required to forgive all men."

Well, who knows what Jesus said or if he even existed? He didn't write anything down. Heresay I tell you!

When Jesus came into the coasts of Caesarea Philippi, he asked his disciples, saying, Whom do men say that I the Son of man am? And they said, Some say that thou art John the Baptist: some, Elias; and others, Jeremias, or one of the prophets. He saith unto them, But whom say ye that I am?

And Simon Peter answered and said, Thou art the Christ, the Son of the living God.

And Jesus answered and said unto him, Blessed art thou, Simon Barjona: for flesh and blood hath not revealed it unto thee, but my Father which is in heaven. --Matthew 16:13-17

Now about the midst of the feast Jesus went up into the temple, and taught.

And the Jews marvelled, saying, How knoweth this man letters, having never learned?

Jesus answered them, and said, My doctrine is not mine, but his that sent me. If any man will do his will, he shall know of the doctrine, whether it be of God, or whether I speak of myself. --John 7:14-17

If any of you lack wisdom, let him ask of God, that giveth to all men liberally, and upbraideth not; and it shall be given him. But let him ask in faith, nothing wavering. For he that wavereth is like a wave of the sea driven with the wind and tossed. For let not that man think that he shall receive anything of the Lord. --James 1:5-7
