We attended our last DC in 2013. Seems that it is the same old talk again and again, I can even anticipate what scriptures will be used. Kinda numbing uninspiring, experience. I hope that more will wake up. The bible has more interesting topics to talk about Rather than the same thing again and again. Stale spiritual food is not nourishing. Please stop. Read the Bible alone instead and see the difference It makes in your life.

Seems to me that this is a repeat of conventions from the last 10 years, even turned down a notch perhaps. It seems like the pattern is that Friday and Saturday are the beat down, shun your family, beware of apostates, pornography, education, do more boogeyman around every corner. Sunday, although it has its fair share of that too, seems to be more geared towards holding out the carrot on a stick. Paradise earth, who wants pet lions, zebras, tigers etc. Death is an enemy, do you want to see your family again? On and on about their false hope. The message? Simply put: If you Listen, Obey, you will be blessed with unending life, happiness, new scrolls, reiunion with family, lobotomized apex predators, beach homes and peaceful surroundings. If you dont you will miss out.

Tell me, what is the point in saying we dont know, and cant be dogmatic BUT we will base a whole talk on a subject that is admittedly pure specultaton. The mind of the average JW will not view it that way however. They will absorb it as FACT and REALITY. The GB knows that JWs are conditioned to accept everything from the platform as fact, yet they have the escape clause of "we never said for sure"

It also strikes me that they are observing the aging and declining health of JWs and are catering to this with more parts about perfect health and the resurrection. They are also capatiliing on the poverty of JWs by hyping up the beach home, material abundance aspect. As long as you keep attending meetings, preaching, contributing, shun family and former friends, you CAN MAKE IT!! Just keep your head down, dont ask questions, dont think too much, just LOABB, and You are almost there!!

It is amaing for how often they mention the paradise and everything to do with it, how obviously out of context the scriptures they use to prove this are. How weak the link is between the scriptures they use, and what they say is. Any person no longer under the WT spell can see this clearly. They merely use the page turning exercize as a way to subconciously show the JW that what is said from the platform is IN FACT scriptural. Otherwise they wouldnt use it right?

This whole program just feeds the JW mindset that the world is SOOOO BAD, and WE REALLY NEED THE PARADISE NOW!! They are praying for the destruction of 99.9999999 percent of the worlds population, just so they can greedily use all the infastructure and nice things that the "wicked" leave behind. They remind me of the Nazis using the jews fine art, wealth and riches for themselves. Pure evil.

I am looking forward to getting our hands on this new book. I am sure it is filled with deceptive quotes, revisionist and witewashed history, and perhaps some outright lies. I hope they are glaring so I can show others the errors.

Is it really Satan's fault when joke-hova keeps meddling every time Satan gets close to success? A world without Satan would be pure communism. Without Satan, we would all still be living as slaves under the cat lick church. It was Satan that finally got us out from under the cat lick church. Without Satan, communism would have spread through the whole world, not just in Russia and China, during the 1920s and early 1930s. Without Satan, we would not even be able to own stuff at all.

As for that 1.8 meter TV set, to me that would be a waste of energy to run. Too much of what is on TV these days is rubbish. True, you do get good science documentaries if you can get around the disinformation they contain. True, there are entertaining quiz shows if you know where to look for them (and YouTube contains more than its fair share of them). But I am not going to get a 1.8 meter TV just so I can watch someone bouncing an orange ball across the court and try throwing it into a hoop. That would be a complete waste--rather, I would stick with something so I can transfer YouTube videos I choose onto a more permanent format so I get to watch them even if Internet II comes. My computer is of more value to me than that cable TV. But, if someone wants something to enjoy, there is no reason why they shouldn't be able to work to attain it, especially when they get older. You might want to see that football clearly; I would just as soon have a reasonable collection of video games and DVDs burned from YouTube.

I don't know about what idiot thinks walking on the shoulder of a highway is dangerous. If I was engineering a highway and that was the case, I did a lousy job. Shoulders are for people to walk on, bicycles to ride on, and for cars to pull off into in the event of emergency. There may be thorns in among the flowers, but one should be able to carefully venture into them anyways. If I was in a big hurry, I could simply take a super-highway and drive 90 MPH or faster. But, if they are taking the time the jokehovians are supposed to be taking, enjoying the scenery is part of the game. There is no need to do 90 if you have to travel 1,000 years. And, if everyone is in the center, it is going to get pretty congested there. People trying to move a bit faster are going to be a hazard, as will those trying to enjoy things. Not to mention, if the highway leads to communism, I might be safer among the prickers that come with the flowers than with a strict communist government.
