Hands down Christian Bale.

I'm with Londo; Christian Bale was by far the best!

Michael Keaton was my pick until the recent batman trilogy. Christian bale has done the best job at it but also the movies were good which I believe helps.

Michael Keaton comes in second for me. As for Kevin Conroy, I love his portrayal, but I think a live-action actor and a voice actor are in different categories.
I like Adam West too...but that's pure comedy. I'm not sure comedy and drama can be compared either.

Christian Bale has the best movies and the best - written character.
Michael Keaton was fun at playing someone who was more insane than the villains he faced.
Adam West played perfectly to his PURPOSEFULLY camp series.
Clooney and Kilmer could have been good, but were in terrible movies.
I grew up with Kevin Conroy.

I remember how excited I was when I heard (way back in the 60's) Batman was coming to TV.
I remember how my mouth hung open and how long I sat with a fixed stare.
What the heck--why were they making Batman ridiculous?
Christian Bale will be very hard to beat. (Hear that, husband of Jennifer Garner?)

Christian Bale was the best IMO.
Don't you think Clooney was good at the role of playboy Bruce Wayne.
Maybe, but the movie was so bad no one could save it.

There is no good Batman without an extrordinary good villain. Christian Bale ( whO was excellent in Equilibrium) was the perfect Batman ... But not without Neeson, Ledger and Hardy (And the rest of the cast)... Keaton was nothing without Nickolson really but Bale and Heatcher (RIP :() were better!

Christian Bale was good as Bruce Wayne, but not so good as Batman. When he talked it sounded like he had throat cancer.
