Actually, it is a little stronger than that.

(Matthew 24:44) 44 On this account YOU too prove yourselves ready, because at an hour that YOU do not think to be it, the Son of man is coming.

...so it is if you think it is coming tomorrow, you can bet it won't be that day. I call it a version of the Heisenberg principle.

    Laika - stuckinarut2 is right.

    Matthew 24:

42 Keep on the watch, therefore, because YOU do not know on what day YOUR Lord is coming. 43 “But know one thing, that if the householder had known in what watch the thief was coming, he would have kept awake and not allowed his house to be broken into. 44 On this account YOU too prove yourselves ready, because at an hour that YOU do not think to be it, the Son of man is coming.

Jesus was talking to his disciples when he said the he was coming at an unexpected time.

Good point, stuckinarut2. You're absolutely right. It's illogical.

Don't you think that would be very stressful if you thought a thief was

going to break into your house anytime. You would be a nervous wreck,

what's that...Staying ready is not so easy.

Have you ever played the game when you was young, I'm going to

scare the crap out of you when you least expect it. You become

a nervous wreck, please get it over with.

Seems to me that they would of never tried to predict the end. If they get it right it means the bible lied and the word of GOD has proved to be a false witness. I don't think GOD will allow that to happen. I guess they don't look at it like that.

According to Jesus his followers don't know when the end would come. For this reason he tells them to keep on the watch. It is inconceivable that the end will come at a time when every single christian does not think it will. Given the number of christians there's always going to be one thinking about the end at any given moment, and the end will come in one of those moments.

Even Jesus didn't know when it is going to be when he said those words. But given the political situation he was living in it must have been clear that Jerusalem was going to be overthrown and it was.

"I am about to throw her......and those committing adultery with her into great tribulation."(Revelation 2:22)

Winesses are definitely not thinking about this Scripture, nor even imagining that it applies to them - as well as everyone else in Christendom, the house of the Biblical God!! (2 Thess. 2:3,4: 1 Peter 4:17)

The end of the WT is coming when the GB least espect it. Well that's what I'd like to think, but I suppose they will continue in some form if there are always followers. I do have hope though, that the new finacial arrangement will be their demise.
