I am only afraid to get one because I think about 80 year old skin and wherever my tattoo would be, it would look funny when I become an old lady.
I can't think of a body part that won't wrinkle!

I just don't get the tatoo thing. I have no desire to ever get one. Yet, I'm fascinated by people that are willing to be inked. My spouse has wanted to get one with my name on his arm for years. The man is actually wanting to have his self branded with my name. Go figure!

simplesally,
I think of it this way, my skin is a part of me and will deteriorate over time anyway. I might as well decorate it a bit.
Hyghlandyr,
What you are designing sounds great! I like the idea of tattoos that have meaning. That’s why I got a Phoenix - it describes my life. BTW: I found a copy of the tattoo in a book and had it reproduced on me. I just can't draw.
myself,
The actual tattooing process took about one hour – this is not counting the time I spent finding the image I liked and having the tattoo artist tweak and customize it for me.

What if you were getting a tattoo on your back and you had this great big GIANT zit in the way and the guy with the needle went across that zit and it popped, shooting pus all over his face, and then he just licked is lips (where the pus hit) and kept on going. WOuldn't that be GROSS?
