Where does the Governing Body say "old light" comes from?

  The "old light" was "present truth" in its time. For example, until 1914, it was TRUE that Armageddon comes in 1914. Later, it was TRUE that Armageddon comes 1975. Both is no longer true now, but it was true back then.

  Btw, since God resides on Alcyone, any "new light" that he sends "takes about 380 years until it reaches the earth and can be printed in the Watchtower.   I asked the question because it puts the GB in a precarious position. For example:1. What would happen to any one of Jehovah's Witnesses who teaches something as truth that is not backed by Scripture? That person would be disfellowshipped and branded an apostate. Yet, isn't that basically what the GB has done with all their false teachings? Luke 12:48 says, "From everyone who has been given much, much will be demanded; and from the one who has been entrusted with much, much more will be asked." Wouldn't this make Governing Body members bigger sinners than the average person because they claim to be God's mouthpiece? Wouldn't this mean that God has already disfellowshipped them?

  2. Are the GB guilty of blasphemy by tacitly claiming that God lied to them and fed them false light? According to Rom. 3:4, wouldn't that make them the real liars, destined for the "lake of fire" in Revelation?

  3. They claim that when you go "give a witness" you are guilty of bloodshed. But because they are bearing false witness, won't that make them even more culpable?

  4. Aren't they also calling Jesus a liar by claiming they are God's earthly organization? Jesus was quite clear about there being NO EARTHLY ORGANIZATION, when he was speaking to the Samaritan woman at the well. At John 4, the woman claimed her forefathers worshipped on Mt. Gerazim and the Jews in Jerusalem. So did Jesus say that worship would move to Brooklyn, Patterson, Warwick, or some other earthly location? No. He said, " 21 “Woman,” Jesus replied, “believe me, a time is coming when you will worship the Father neither on this mountain nor in Jerusalem. 22 You Samaritans worship what you do not know; we worship what we do know, for salvation is from the Jews. 23 Yet a time is coming and has now come when the true worshipers will worship the Father in the Spirit and in truth, for they are the kind of worshipers the Father seeks. 24 God is spirit, and his worshipers must worship in the Spirit and in truth.” From these words, it is clear God would have NO EARTHLY organization. God isn't even looking for those who seek out an earthly organization.

  5. Where is the humility of the GB members? The Bible describes Moses, David and others imploring God when they made mistakes. It's in the scriptures for all of us to see. Where is such humility of the GB? Like Satan, there is no humility before God.

  So are these old uninspired men the faithful and slave, or are they a better fit of the selfish and sluggish "evil slave"?

  They are a perfect fit for the evil slave!

  Consider this:

  Isaiah 66:5

  　Hear the word of Jehovah, YOU men who are trembling at his word: "YOUR brothers that are hating YOU, that are excluding YOU by reason of my name, said, ‘May Jehovah be glorified!’ He must also appear with rejoicing on YOUR part, and they are the ones that will be put to shame."

  "[Name of person] is no longer a Jehovah's Witness"

  Is there any other world wide religion who exclude (disfellowship) brothers through the use of God's actual name?

  Romans 9:26

  　and in the place where it was said to them, ‘YOU are not my people,’ there they will be called ‘sons of the living God.’"

  ‘YOU are not my people,’ -------> "[Name of person] is no longer a Jehovah's Witness"

  What the bible said would happen, is really happening!

  This is a very good question. Similarly, I have always asked self if that for all the years since the founding of the Watchtower Socieity of Jehovah's Witnesses, whose spirit has been guiding them? Was that the 'Holy Spirit' which is allegedly cannot lie? How about their prophesies that have not come true to this day?

  Perfect question and inescapable logic. Obviously the old light cannot have come from Jehovah, so why believe that any 'new light' does?

  Applying the blistering blowtorch of simple logic and common-sense melts away the absurdity of such creedal incredulous nonsense on many levels....

  ...If there is presently a 'faithful slave', then who is presently the 'evil slave?"

  ...how can Jesus be 'present' from 1914 but he hasn't 'come' yet?

  ...how can Jesus be ruling as King on his throne since 1914 and the Bible says he rules for 1,000 years, and yet his millennial reign hasn't started yet?

  Etc, ad nauseum.

  Excellent point, no wonder there are so many ex-jws

  turned angry atheists. They come out of a religion,

  the WT, that presents God as a game player who toys with

  them and keeps changing the rules and punishes them

  if they disobey, or kills them, and later says,

  "Oh the rules have now changed and all

  that we said before is old light"

  All those babies that died? Because they needed an organ

  transplant or some blood fraction ? Can now have it,

  and all those dates we said you should stop your life for?

  Meant nothing at all. This is who they present God to be,

  untrustworthy, and they turn people against God,

  since they claim to speak for Him.

  It comes from the same place thier new light comes from, it comes from out of their ass and then they get Jehovah the Corporation's sock puppet to rubber stamp it with his approval.

  It's like Jehovah's Chariot is on the move and it can move backwards and forwards, arrive late or at a time unexpected, 100 years of Kingdom rule with God's Chariot on the move and reverse being an option not to mention hide and go seek.
