I hope to get a chance to mention how Moses, the leader of God's people, at one point over stressed how important he was. His position had gone to his head. God was not happy about that.

    "But we have
Jehovah, Bible students, and spiritual goals."

This Pioneer lives in a Watchtower fantasy world.

The Jehovah she mentions is in reality the Watchtower Organization.

The Bible Students she mentions are in reality Watchtower Publication students

The spirtiual goals she mentions are in reality goals recommened by the Watchtower.

(Where is the world "Pioneer" mentioned in the Bible? The usage of the word is a creation of the Watchtower)

Damnation at its finest. Whatever is good for your soul is bad for joke-hova. While I can understand drug use (they ruin your brain and liver, and invite angels to infest your soul) or smoking (ruins your health and wastes your money), why should everyone be doing door to door? A small percentage of people excel in field circus, while most of us sucked. Yet, joke-hova wants you into that drudgery to drain time that could have been used to make a living.

And this could go out to ridiculous extremes. You work at a grocery store. Now, what happens if they keep making taboos that keep proscribing you from doing your job? They might ban you from even handling items they proscribe, and the proscriptions could come with little warning. They might decide that coffee is forbidden, and you are sinning for as much as ordering it or putting price tags up for coffee. Next is chocolate. They could ban caffeine, and then you get separated from that area. Later, they rescind the ban on caffeine only to ban sweets. This pushes you out of the baking goods section, bakery, candy, soda pop, and pastry sections as well as the cereal. Later, they rescind that ban as well only to ban pets. Before long, the management is tired of not knowing what you are allowed to do, and you lose your job. Not to mention, everything pleasant is questioned--the hounders might continue the bans after they are officially lifted, under "brazen conduct".

Or, they decide that your job is in the way of their encroaching on your time with field circus. You are not consistently getting out of work in time to rush home, change, and make field circus or you are going to work before they are done with you in field circus. Or, your job makes you miss one boasting session 2 or 3 times a year (and even that is not certain, because if that night falls off boasting session night, you can still make the boasting session). They decide that it is best for you to quit your job. You wonder if you are going to be able to make it financially without an income (you do not quite qualify for welfare). They respond that you are better off poor and making it into the communist new order than being reasonably secure on your way to Gehenna, which is more damnation.

When thinking about "Paradise Earth"™, do the same thing WT does when formulating it's theology: "Use your imagination"

    .

jhine: What stikes me about any of the "quotes " from people who are supposedly sooo happy after giving something up is that they are never named and the quotes can never be verified

Most likely made up; at the very least, no source material is given because if a JW could actually read the "experience" in context, it would be a different story altogether...

Not that I am defending the Borg, but I seem to recall a CO wife who had been a ballerina. Think her last name was Casper. Early 90s in the SE part of the US. If it is her they quote...she was one unhappy biatch when I worked with her in the so called door to door ministry.

“To sharpen your mental image of God’s Kingdom, look “intently” toward your life in Paradise. Use your imagination.

And you better have a damn good imagination! You'll be needing it for decades to come!

    Imitate Moses eh?

Ok, get raised and educated by royalty, marry into a rich family, enjoy the benefits of a privileged upbringing, then kill a man you don't like, run away and use the skills you were taught and the resources you were given, to start your own group of people and become their esteemed leader!

Yep, sounds humble and meek to me!
