So we all know that matt 11:28-30 says

28 "Come to me, all you who are toiling and loaded down, and I will refresh you.29 Take my yoke upon you and learn from me, for I am mild-tempered and lowly in heart, and you will find refreshment for yourselves. 30 For my yoke is kindly, and my load is light.”

It amazes me immensely how the organisation has completely overlooked the intent of this verse as supposedly said by Gods son!

They keep burdening witnesses with expectations to do more, to sacrifice more, to give more...

Then they keep burdening the flock by telling them how evil they are, how sinful they are...

Jw leaders are no different to the religious leaders of Jesus day!

    ok, rant over.....breathe......

Jesus also supposedly said to his followers to take his message to the world, that would involve a lot of work.

    Jesus became what he condemned.

Matthew 11:28-30 - The Message (MSG)

“Are you tired? Worn out? Burned out on religion? Come to me. Get away with me and you’ll recover your life. I’ll show you how to take a real rest. Walk with me and work with me—watch how I do it. Learn the unforced rhythms of grace. I won’t lay anything heavy or ill-fitting on you. Keep company with me and you’ll learn to live freely and lightly.”

    Yes!

    Thanks, Ann.

"... the unforced rhythms of grace"!

This is what helped free me from guilt over leaving the WT.

That's because the WTS is the equivalent of the Pharisees/Saduceess not Jesus. These groups thought they were the way to God but Jesus said they were leading the people into the ditches

(Matthew 23:1-11) . . .Then Jesus spoke to the crowds and to his disciples, saying: 2 “The scribes and the Pharisees have seated themselves in the seat of Moses. 3 Therefore all the things they tell YOU, do and observe, but do not do according to their deeds, for they say but do not perform. 4 They bind up heavy loads and put them upon the shoulders of men, but they themselves are not willing to budge them with their finger. 5 All the works they do they do to be viewed by men; for they broaden the [scripture-containing] cases that they wear as safeguards, and enlarge the fringes [of their garments]. 6 They like the most prominent place at evening meals and the front seats in the synagogues, 7 and the greetings in the marketplaces and to be called Rabbi by men. 8 But YOU, do not YOU be called Rabbi, for one is YOUR teacher, whereas all YOU are brothers. 9 Moreover, do not call anyone YOUR father on earth, for one is YOUR Father, the heavenly One. 10 Neither be called ‘leaders,’ for YOUR Leader is one, the Christ. 11 But the greatest one among YOU must be YOUR minister.
