Email Stark's colleagues - those that dislike him will love it, and there will be many since not all Univ. of Washington Profs are as newsworthy as he, or have bestselling books, and those that like him will be concerned. All it will take is an email header "Does Stark back JWs in Pedophile Scandal?" or similar and a mention of Dateline to arouse interest.
There is nothing like the pigoens coming home to roost to change a man's mind.

Stark is an excellent scholar. His works speak for themselves. Eu cannot understand why anyone would attack this man.

You may want to chill out just a bit. He is a prof, and this is a horrible time of year to try and contact anyone who teaches, esp at universities. You may not get a reply for several WEEKS, and that would be quite normal.
He seems to be an authority in his field, and I for one would like to see if he was quoted out of turn. He may think everyone who writes him on this issue has a dangerous agenda if you try to rile things up too quickly, esp without knowing facts.
I wonder how to determine if the WTBTS did their normal mis-quotation of Stark. I also wonder if he has any ties to JWs?
A photo of Stark appears on the JW's web site alongside his quote. Bill Bowen has informed Stark of this and asked him to re-examine the issue. This doesn't seem like the deliberate misquotation of a scholar such as Prof. Aki.

I have tried to be polite and nice to everyone on this forum. But I have received mostly ad hominem argumentation and been treated like dirt.
It is not so much that I am full of myself. Eu just hates injustice. And he is not about to stand by and see the eminent Dr Stark attacked on this board. That would be akin to assaulting Dr larc. It ain't going to happen around me.

The cover up of pedophiles within a religion is neither an intellectual nor an academic issue. Ergo, academic rules of debate do not apply. Ask the Catholic church if they were forced to change their policies through academic debate or direct action.
