Being a Witness results in selfish and self centered people!

What you are really trying to say, stuck, is that JWs are arseholes.
And I totally agree. Selfish, self-centered arseholes who care for nothing except themselves, aptly describes adherents to this cult.

So true. When I was losing my mind and about to break free, I recall realizing that I had been a better person in every way before I was a JW. It's nice to be me again.

I agree with the statement that JWs get paralyzed by the fear of not "waiting on Jeehoober." They are so afraid of losing out on their own slice of paradise ( the opposite of self-sacrifice BTW) that they end up doing nothing except handing out a worthless piece of litterature. What do you expect from a corporation that has been sounding an ever-changing trumpet call for over a century?!? These are the same idiots who have realeased nu-light on how to deal with suicidal thoughts, namely chanting " I am an integrity keeper...", followed by baking cookies.

Very interesting post. stuckinarut2, when you states "... But generally witnesses have been taught to supress or rid themselves of any human niceness by having "the kingdom will fix it" drummed into their brains!.." you are spot on. This is my personal experiences. This kind of attitude also breeds apathy and at worst, stiffles creativity.

and i think its a good " two cents" worth of observation" Stuck, and heres's my " one cents " worth of observation, when you allow something that doesn't exist like " J.Ws organisation" it can become more important than friends family and the things that really matter.
Beware of attaching your heart to anythingthat takes on greater importance than the simple things.
Now when i receive my " one cent" i will give my "three cents" worth of observation

At a recent Art Fair in town I was manning the Boys and Girls Club booth, signing up supporters and handleing the raffle. A JW I knew from years ago walked by with her kids. She stopped said hello, I asked about her kids, hadn't seen them in a decade, all the while she had this look of- 'you are in so much trouble I just don't know who to tell' lol
The Boys and Girls Club, you know that ol satanic club that traps kids into sports, arts and crafts......

A fine example of the typical JW mindset.

because "the kingdom will fix poverty, the homeless, poor, underpriveleged, etc...." it means they can just pass by those in need, or fulfill their natural human desire to help (if they have it) by just giving literature!
.
So in the parable of the "Good Samaritan", why didn't Jesus describe the Samaritan as just walking past the Jew without helping him and "leave it in god's hands"?
I wonder if the rNWT says that the Samaritan simply handed the Jew a magazine and kept walking?
