    ox·y·mo·ron

[ ok-si- mawr -on ] noun, plural ox·y·mo·ra [ ok-si- mawr - uh , - mohr - uh ] Rhetoric, a figure of speech by which a locution produces an incongruous, seemingly self-contradictory effect, as in “cruel kindness” or “to make haste slowly" or "Science and the WT."

ADCMS, Pluto was discovered/recognised as a planet in 1930. The quote about neptune was in 1926. It's still halarious. All of these quotes are great. I'm going to print them out.

    Thank you Gio!

@ Billy the Ex B: Didn't GA have a quote saying that perfect people wouldn't poop.

The GB don't poop now...it's not necessary, as all their defecational processes are now performed directly through the pages of WT literature.

Thanks. I'm adding these to my list

Check out the one shown below that addresses the issue of why perfect people in the new world won't be hurt in accidents.

"Many have wondered how accidents would be avoided during Christ's kingdom, since we are told that nothing shall then hurt or destroy. Most accidents are due to gravitation and its effects. Falling from airplanes... etc., may be avoided by an individual negative gravity device.

"Scientists tell us that there is enough atomic energy in a finger-nail to propel a battleship. The people of the future may carry a little of this energy around with them, and if they fall down an elevator shaft they can let themselves down easy. Then they can turn a little more on and go back up. ... No danger of falling down stairs then." - Golden Age, March 24, 1926, p. 404.

These are just WTF moments, and to think we all believed their bible calculations of the end times.

Thanks Magnum for adding the "individual negative gravity device"

Why would they not simply say we will be stronger, faster, smarter in the new world?

The WTBTS propensity to speculate about science has and still is amazing.

They are so wrong they are shocking. I read about smallpox vaccination in the colonies. Educated men, such as John Adams, went to great lengths to innoculate their families. It wasn't a quick injection. My father refused the Salk and Sabin vaccines. He would not b/c of Bethel. There was never a Soceity argument. Oh, I was taught that aluminim will kill you.
