As often said, you can take the dub out of the WTS, but eradicating those old WTS habits from the dub... woohoo... a much tougher job, lol. The Cult of Worshiping Failure and Mediocrity is so beguiling to some they can't quite extricate themselves.... ever.

I'd be tempted to brush off the dust from my coat, and having entered through one door not go out through another door (well, that's how Franz Sr. explained away the Biblical prohibition on going from door-to-door, lol), but then I find the writings of blondie and a few others thoughtful, entertaining and even instructive, so I might not. With a little bit of "friendly" feline guidance and a thoughtfully inserted occasional claw, much could be made of these young 'uns.
And then I can't wholly dismiss the following touching contributions (metatron has a fine insight and overview, apparently contradictory though those may be):

I am loving the irony with this melon, the broad stroke assumptions, the ever changing signature, the myopic blindness evident in a member that can't see independant thinking or intelligence in a forum of people that against the odds left a cult, the unrestrained rambling and disjointed sentences....

I left the hall 20 years ago without ever reading any books written by former witnesses. Never looked at a website about witnesses until 4 years ago. The reasons for my leaving and not returning are all from the Watchtower.

P.S. Ucantnome, the above was not in any way directed at you. I congratulate you on your accomplishment. That's the very best way to do it and maximises your post-cult happiness potential, IMO. This is because of its independent nature.
It was not directed at anyone else in particular, for that matter, but at a certain pathological pack- or herd-like type of conduct. Or "troop" like, rather like the Watchtower Army - a collective noun also applied to members of genus Papio ( http://tinyurl.com/jehovahs-witn-class if you need to look it up ). There ya go, another Focus-type broad-brush - often wrong, I readily admit - but more true than it is untrue, eh?

.. In which case, having done so much good work on mental illnesses exhibited by ex-jw's , you should know better than to fling insults at those that do not understand you or react badly. If the majority of us are so mentally handicapped in your view, then fine.
But would you even consider walking into a home for mentally ill people, and calling those who are shouting at or jeering you "doozy-headed, sh!tferbrains doofuses" and "twits"? Would it aid either yourself or them to talk down to them, or insult those who do not understand your way of communicating (or just simply dislike you) ? Empathy is needed.
Just something to think about.
