While I can understand the reasons you give for attending this convention, cookiemaster, I suggest that you pose these questions to your family. We know Jesus Christ held assemblies which drew thousands. Would he ever have subjected his followers to such inhumane conditions? And if he wouldn't, why is the WTS doing so? Your account makes me happy that I am "no longer one of Jehovah's Witnesses"!

At least I have a nice indoor arena in Long Beach to enjoy our 3 days of hell. I go for my Mother-in-law as she is now 86 and still waiting on jehoba to make all thing right. Sheesh, to think that I use to take my family to those hot, miserable outdoor conventions every year. What a sap I was. Sorry family, please forgive me for the wasted summers.

So glad I am out and free from all of the nonsense. Sounds horrible...I don't know how I lasted in this religion as long as I did!
