Two copies of this invitation were pinned to the corkboard at the post office this morning: A World Government, Why do we need one, Is it possible, WHO IS QUALIFIED TO RULE?

I know this invitation hand-out has been discussed but i missed this part - that WT obviously is saying THEY are QUALIFIED to rule the WORLD. I can't take it. Think about the misery, pain and depression people are suffering as a result of this org. But they are ready to govern the entire world now.

Inside the tract the question is posed, Who may attend? Answer: Everyone. Well is that true? I thought JWs had to be invited to be "delegates" to the convention?

(I took both of these tracts and they are in the trash bin now.)

The answer to the question given at the public talk is of course, Jesus.

and the WT expect to be strawbosses for Jesus, of course.

Used to be that if Jesus was a topic they would have him depicted on the handout. The main thing they show on this tract is a photo of one of the GB.

I commented on this on another thread.

The WTS has sent several very explicit letters to all congregations within a few hours drive of Atlanta: If you are not assigned to this convention, STAY AWAY!

I love the irony of distributing millions of tracts saying "Everyone may attend" to people who haven't the slightest whisper of interest in attending...while simultaneously telling the few hundred or few thousand who actually WOULD like to attend, STAY AWAY!

Unless JWs don't want you there, then suddenly it is not open to the public:

I was in Atlanta over the weekend and the Dubs are indeed everywhere. Someone enlighten me: I've been out 2 decades; the dubs were there Sunday, Monday and Tuesday. Are ICs different than regular district conventions these days? I would thought they would leave on Sunday night rather than show up. Surely they aren't meeting the entire week. Just shoot me.

DJS - I think for the ICs, there's a couple days after where they do tours of the host city and other vacationy type stuff for the international folks.

    Thanks OneEYedJoe

They had desks set up in the hotels to passively advertise the IC. I noted that they didn't approach anyone. There was also a teachers' convention there, so I was surrounded by teachers and preachers for several days. The teachers were much more fun.
