I would say something but then I would be the one name called critical, negative, ect,,, Oh, wait a minute, I'm not there anymore so I can say :What an embarrassment to themselves and god. Nothing more than a bunch of people pleasers and jackasses. So glad I'm not in it. What were we thinking:(
To think when we were in it, we had told someone in the ministry that we serve god in truth and spirit, not guitars and drums. This person joined a religion because of the band that they would play in every week in that church and now JW.Org is exactly the same. I'm speechless.

OH MY GOD!
seriously????
WOW!
I am stunned at this being done in a Kingdom Hall!
How can they sing the song "happy", when that artist is linked with the whole "immoral worldly" scene...have they not listened to his many other tracks?
( I mean, I like Pharrel, but in a Kingdom Hall?)
Just shows that they will change standards when it suits them!
Iwonder how many sitting there in the audience (remember only very privileged, chosen, spiritual ones were invited) were shocked?

What struck me as really ironic was the Sister instructing the whole congregation on the dance moves and all this from the stage.
Deep, deep down she really wants to be an Elder, but this is as close as she'll get. Or, maybe planning the meal for the Pioneer School.

I am 34 yrs old. I think I'm punch-drunk with awe. I never thought I'd ever see something like this in a Kingdom Hall, EVER. This would NEVER have been allowed in the religion I grew up in. Hell, if it did, heads would have been rolling in JC's over such "Worldly" dancing and displays of debauchery in a Kingdom Hall. Heads would have been skaking in disapproval, and scowling stares a plenty from the old geezers. I haven't even seen JW weddings that were this lively. What the hell is going on in this religion? It's like they're now a blend of some New Age and Pentacostal????? Truly, the "old guard" is dead, and this is what this pseudo-Christian cult has morphed into. Amazing.....just incredible. And to top it off, it's now being shown on the internet and like it's proof of how progressive and "hip" they now are? Unbelievable. It is plain now for all to see that they have given up trying to "prove" anything using the Bible or literature. Those days are OVER. It's now all about feel-good BS and showmanship, that's the new hip, techy, recruiting spin. They couldn't exactly beat Mormons or Scientology, so they are JOINING THEM in mainstream conformity. (as best they can fake it). I wouldn't be surprised in the least to see Sunday School for children, Congregation Picnics, etc start up.

I just can't believe in my eyes.
This is not the same religion that called me an apostate.

Van Morrison's "Kingdom Hall" (Wavelenght , 1978)
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=rIs3Cp2BQX8
Little trivia from Wiki: " The songs on this album recall various stages of Morrison's life. "Kingdom Hall" reflected back to his childhood in Belfast when he attended services with his mother, a practicing Jehovah's Witness at one time."

Just remember the theme of the convention everybody: "Keep Seeking First God's Kingdom".
JeezHovah loves line dances and "worldly" music, especially the Vietnam War protest songs. All of this promotes "The Kingdom"* and will surely bring thousands of people into "The Truth".
As others have said, I remember the days when a JW couldn't even have a cup of coffee in a KH on a bitterly cold winter morning field service meeting. "Worldly" music for a wedding? Forget it! "Worldly" music while cleaning or working on a KH? Forget it!
Now WT is endorsing Penetecostal Revivals. I wonder how long before JWs are also 'Holy Rolling" or having Bingo Night? Bake sales?
.
* I bet not one JW realizes or cares that no one is out 'preaching for the Kingdom' when they are touring, dancing and listening to concerts instead.
