I was thinking the same thing Pete...

It sounds like that (Ministerial Servant injunction) is just one more thing said at the Annual meeting that the flock is not impressed with or taking to heart!

if I go they can introduce me to them....They know I’ve been inactive for over a year so I have no idea why they would want to hook me up with a “Spiritual Sister”.

After I'd been inactive for several years, a bro invited me to go in field service.

And by 'inactive', I mean, "after saying very clearly that I would never return to the dubs".

    Weirdos.

Sometimes the desire to not be alone outweighs the desire to hold onto your sternly held standards.

I believe according to the recnt Pew stats, close to 3/4 of the org is women. So yeah.....you could probably be semi-apostate and they would argue the "semi". :)

Keep us posted. This has to be amazing.

Just hold on a second...I was still in while in my thirties, attractive, widowed with a child and had a well paying job, beautiful house and I was constantly avoiding "brothers" who wanted me for what I had. I was also pioneering for a while. I was always being set up with somebody somewhere. I was and am very independent and successful. I was mentally awake at 37 and totally out by 39. I am 42 now. I think it is unfair to stereotype since I ran into more mooching, loser single brothers to last a lifetime. Just because someone is a man does not make them the responsible party and the woman and her child(ren) the dependent losers even in the messed up world of JWs.

Sorry, I read how women in their 30's with kids are perceived as a burden. Not always true. Had to have a mini rant!

Wasn't there a talk of something recently where one of the GB said that there was something wrong with a brother who wasn't a Ministerial Servant by the time he was 23 and that a sister would be foolish to get involved with him?

You know Pete Zahut, I'm going to call them on that. I am going to bring up the direction given by the GB to all sisters to be interested only in someone that is ministerial servant. But before I do, I'm going to play them to see how far they are willing to go. Consider it a social experiment.

Sure, I could marry a hot 20 year old, but then I'd have to deprogram her then she'd be all like "I only married you because you were decent looking and weren't gross". And she'd be like "Thanks for helping me out, btw I'm gay lets get divorced". So yeah that's not happening

A study showed ladies are attracted to stern faces like you john da eagle, why take on a lady that has already all that past baggage she will never get rid of? very good marriages exist with a ~40 spread in age.

think of the head of the congregation, > 7 000 000 times older than the bride he is engaged too, to be married soon.

Being married to a person you did not choose could be as bad as being in a religion that you choose because of the hidden baggage you were never told. parable misapplied: " the field is the world"

I'd be willing to bet you could go all the way with at least one of them. But be prepared for a judicial committee because most likely their cult training would kick in after the fact and they'd confess to the elders.

I would agree I think desperate women JWs are more likely to be sexually promiscuous than non JW women who have more self respect.
