you are worried that she will reject you because the harshness of the truth of it can not leave her unmoved. She will appreciate you or it will trigger the loyalty thing and make her close her eyes, cover her ears and say blahblahblahblahblah. Might want to tell her THAT before she reads it. She will not be unmoved by it either way. She should read it though. Its gonna hurt but it needs doing.

The truth hurts!!!
I found that out as I first "travelled down the road" on my own, with no one to share the burden at the time. I didn't want to offload everything at once on my dear wife, but now she knows as much as I do, and is pretty distraught that she and her family have shunned her d/f'd brother for almost 30 years!
Your wife will get all the support she needs from you, so let her grow at her own speed - don't restrict her!

Thanks all for your advise and opinion.
I'm still not convinced what to do.

First, talk to the lovely Raisa.
Remind her that whatever happens, you are acting with the best intentions.
Tell her you'll leave CoC out for her.
Make her very aware of the potential consequences of reading the book.
Make it clear that she should only read it if she's prepared to cope with the candid information presented.
Leave the matter with her.
The decision is then hers.
(That's what I would do anyway.)

I think it would be a mistake to keep these books from her. I imagine she already knows what they say, so her asking to see them indicates she is ready to accept the information. You could warn her that the books will be disturbing.

Express your concerns and let her decide.

Shes been away for a while now. I think she will take it better than you realize. Did you read those books after having faded for 6-7 years.....or did you read them to START your fade of 6-7 years. Big difference.
I say you give them to her, and let her be.

I truly do understand what you are asking, but c'mon- it's a book. We should not be afraid of reading or someone else reading a book.
I know. I know. I would be afraid to let an innocent naive person read the recruiting books of Watchtower. But any informed person should be able to read anything they want to read.

Gorbatchov- I know the Ray Franz truth can hurt and shock her so much.
And can even hurt family life.
???? What exactly are you talking about ?
Afraid she will no longer be submissive ?
Afraid she will start thinking for herself ?
Afraid she will be your equal ? Question authority ?
You will lose the one-up position ?
"Hurt her" ?? You mean, you want her to remain in
delusion so you can control her? Gorbatchov
you really are a Communist Dictator aren't you ?
How exactly do you prevent her from reading a book?
Are you now giving her permission to think and breathe?
She is a free moral agent Gorby. You are not God.

You should not give it to her and burn it just to be on the safe side.
