The real "doctrinal" issue before the Watchtower at the moment is whether Jehovah prefers the "dot" on the top right, or the bottom left. Apparently he has not revealed the truth on this pressing issue.

Juan, I see a schism coming. JWs will be divided over whether the dot comes after JW or before the ORG.
I'm betting on the later as the ORGanization is clearly becoming more prominent than even Jehovah!
A few heads may roll before this important matter gets resolved.

And the kicker is... the WT can edit at anytime what they have written and said on their digital WT Library. So scary...

Bye bye birdie - "Next step......the governing body buys a tv network or starts pod broadcasting. Most of the halls are sold....and the virtual religion begins."
In a weird way, I think this is a good thing...
...something tells me that faders and conscious-classers will have a much easier time of it, if it goes that far.

If it is true that they aren't going to print calendars and the daily text.........
it may be a huge change! Bigger than anything else! Consider this:
Religions are about habits. Muslims have their 5 times prayer. Mormons have special underwear. Catholics have weekly Mass. These things maintain religious identity
The Watchtower is no different - with 10 hours a month, attending all the meetings, and so on.
The calendar reminds Witlesses about Memorial bible reading, weekly field service etc. The daily text is also a daily reminder of Witness identity. The dismissal of these speaks volumes.
Simply dumping this stuff on publishers to print off suggests much more than "simplification" or even downsizing. It suggests abandonment. It says "we don't have a long term interest in maintaining this cult. Those days are over. Devil take the hindmost". This completely contradicts the 'do more', the 'end is very near' BS gushing from the GB.
If this was a poker game, this looks like a huge "tell" to me - as if someone is going to quit the game.
OTOH, you might argue that this could be the opinion of a faction within the Organization. I would counter that, if so, it apparently is the dominant faction at present.

I got a similar gut-response impression when I first read it, too.

Just download it on your Tablet, or Smartphone.
I am so embarassed in putting unclaimed publications in the recycle bin.
