The Cracked article that Vidiot linked to should be read by everybody. If there's something of value that can come out of this, it's understanding what lies behind the clown persona.

Richard Cory
by Edward Arlington Robertson
Whenever Richard Cory went downtown,
We on the pavement looked at him:
He was a gentleman from sole to crown,
Clean-favored and imperially slim.
And he was always quietly arrayed,
And was always human when he talked;
But still he fluttered pulses when he said,
"Good morning," and he glittered when he walked.
And he was rich -- yes, richer than a king,
And admirably schooled in every grace:
In fine, we thought that he was everything,
To make us wish that we were in his place.
And so on we worked, and waited for the light,
And went without meat, and cursed the bread;
And Richard Cory, one warm summer night,
Went home and put a bullet through his head.

We can never know what others are going through inside.

I've never thought anyone had it all.
We're all humans and subject to the same frailities.

I have been a fan for a long time and have never, never heard he was a jw or even had a jw in his extended family.
What fact or facts make you think that?
Williams’ father was Episcopalian and his mother was a devout Christian Scientist. Perhaps someone confused Christian Science with jws....I have had people do that because jws don't take transfusions and Christian Scientists don't take medical treatment of any kind.

Yes, Mum. Thanks for posting Richard Cory. I thought of that one, too, remembering it from high school.

He planned his suicide in the Arizona dessert taking in the beauty of nature.
IMO, that says more than first realized. The Arizona desert is one of the most depressing places I've ever seen.

On a more pleasant note, the Arizona DESSERT sounds very interesting............

I have noticed that some of the funniest people out there tend to have a rage from within. You never go against a comedian doing a live bit because they can tear you into pieces.
