It seems the main page is down still but all the sub pages (videos, magazines whwhat's new etc) are still active.

Yep... Browser tells me it is somehow making a "loop" which probably indicates that someone made a big programming mistake :P

Didnt you know? Apostates are blocked from now on anyway overhere i have no problem reaching it also the 'down for everybody or me' tool says there is no problem

According to isitdownrightnow.com, jw.org is still down 15 hours later, even though the site is actually available. That probably means Watch Tower have started blocking ping requests (ICMP).
